Cinnamon Streusel Coffee Cake

1 3/4 Cups | flour |
1 1/4 Cup | sugar |
2 Tsp. | baking powder |
1/4 Cup | unsalted butt cut into pieces |
1 Egg lightly beaten | |
3/4 Cup | milk |
1 Tsp. | vanilla |
2 Tsp. | ground cinnamon |
1/2 Cup | chopped walnuts |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter an 8" square baking pan. In a bowl, stir flour, 1 cup of sugar, and baking powder. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add in the egg, milk, vanilla and stir until blended. Pour batter into prepared pan. In another bowl, stir together remaining 1/4 cup of sugar, the walnuts and cinnamon. Sprinkle the. Mixture evenly over the surface of the batter. Using a table knife, gently cut through the batter to spread a little of the topping into the cake. Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until well risen and golden. Remove and let cool for 15 minutes on cooling rack.
