For syrup
    1 litre  coffee
    200 gms  sugar
    100 gms  Marsala
    100 ml  kahlua
Bring ingredients to a boil. Lower heat and simmer until syrup thickens. Coffee sponge layer
    3  eggs
    125 gms  castor sugar
    125 gms  plain flour
    3 tbsp  instant coffee
    60gms  melted butter
Preheat oven to 180*, Beat eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl until mixture doubles. Sift and fold in flour together with instant coffee. Add melted butter and mix well. Turn into greased 10 inch round cake tin and bake for 30 mins. Invert on rack and cool For Mascarpone cheese filling
    3  egg yolks
    200 gms  castor sugar
    300 gms  marscarpone cheese
    200 gms  whipped cream
1 orange rind, finely grated
    50 gms  orange paste
    6 sheets  gelatine
    3 tbsp  kahlua

Beat egg yolks with castor sugar until soft and fold in the marscarpone cheese . Soften the gelatine with ice water and melt with the kahlua and orange paste. Whip the cream and fold into the mixture, together with rind shavings.

Method
Split cake into 2 discs by sawing with a serrated knife. Tip: rotate the cake rather than the knife. Place each layer on a piece of wax paper. Cover one layer with marscarpone cheese filling. Place another layer of cake over and spread with syrup. Add another layer of cheese filling and top with more syrup. Cover sides with rest of cheese filling and sprinkle over with cocoa powder and icing sugar. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
