Banana Cake

| ½ cup | butter?2 cup flour |
| 1 cup | sugar?2 tsp baking powder |
| 2 | eggs, (beaten)?1/2 tsp salt |
| 1 tsp | baking soda dissolved in 4 tsp boiling water |
| 1 cup | mashed bananas?1 tsp vanilla |
| Walnuts, (optional) |
Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and beat well. Dissolve soda in boiling water and add mashed bananas. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add alternately with mashed bananas to first mixture. Add walnuts and vanilla.
Bake 350° 40 – 45 minutes.
