Beer-Braised Beef

3 | bacon strips, diced |
2 lbs | beef stew meat, 1 inch cubes |
1/2 tsp | peppers |
1/4 tsp | salt |
1 tsp | vegetable oil |
1 tsp | garlic, minced |
1 | onion, cut into wedges |
1 | bay leaf |
1 Tbsp | soy sauce |
1 Tbsp | Worcestershire sauce |
1 can (12 oz) | beer |
2 Tbsp | flour |
1 tsp | thyme |
1/4 cup | water |
1 bag | egg noodle |
In large skillet, cook bacon until crisp
Sprinkle salt & pepper on beef - brown beef in same skillet
Transfer to slow cooker
Add bacon, onion, garlic and bay leaf
In a small bowl, combine beer, soy sauce, thyme and Worcestershire sauce
Pour over beef - cover and cook on Low for 6 hours
In a small bowl, combine flour and water until smooth - gradually stir in
Cook on High for 30 minutes until thickened - discard bay leaf - serve over noodles
