Turkey Dressing (corn bread)

12 cups | crumbled corn bread |
1 lb | pork sausage |
4 stalks | celery, chopped fine |
4 medium | onions, chopped fine |
1/2 cup | chicken broth |
2 eggs lightly beaten | |
1 tsp | pepper |
2 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | sage |
1 tsp | thyme |
Brown sausage in skillet on medium heat ... Transfer sausage to paper towel ... Let cool
Once cooled, mix sausage and crumbled corn bread in large bowl
In medium saucepan, combine onion & celery ... Add cold water to cover and bring to a boil over high heat ... Cook until veggies are tender ... Drain well.
Add veggies to corn bread and sausage
Sprinkle with thyme, sage, baking powder, salt & pepper
Add eggs and chicken broth ... Mix thoroughly to moisten evenly without packing the dressing
Stuff the turkey
Bake the rest at 350 degrees for 25 minutes
