Etouffée - Shrimp

4 Tbsp | butter |
1 lb | shrimp |
3 Tbsp | Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning |
1 | onion, chopped |
1/2 | bell pepper, chopped |
2 cloves | garlic, minced |
1 tsp | corn starch |
1 Tbsp | green onion, chopped |
Rice |
Melt butter in pot.
Season shrimp generously with Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning and sauté for 3 minutes.
Add onions, bell pepper, and garlic to the pot.
Sauté for 10 minutes.
Dissolve 1 tsp corn starch in 1 cup cold water and add to pot.
Stir and simmer slowly about 20 minutes.
Serve over steamed rice and garnish with green onions.
