Mom's Cherry Sauce

| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1/4 cup | ketchup |
| 1/4 cup | vinegar |
| 1 cup | water |
| Pinch | salt |
| 3 tbsp | cornstarch for thickening |
Heat ingredients until boiling point, stir occasionally.
When boiling add thickening and reduce heat. Stir occasionally until sauce is thickened.
