Midnight Chocolate Cake

| 1 C | shortening |
| 2 1/2 C | sugar |
| 1 C | cocoa |
| 2 C | water |
| 3 C | flour |
| 4 | eggs |
| 1/2 Tsp | baking powder |
| 2 Tsp | baking soda |
| 1 1/2 Tsp | salt |
| 1 1/2 Tsp | vanilla |
Combine shortening with sugar. Mix on medium speed until smooth. Beat in eggs until smooth. Add baking powder, soda, salt and vanilla mix well. Slowly mix in cocoa. Add water mix. Add flour 1 C at a time. Beat at medium speed until smooth.
Pour into 9"x13" pan well greased pan. Bake @ 350 F 30-40 minutes
