Mom's scones

4 cups | all purpose flour |
4 tablespoons | sugar |
2 tablespoons | baking powder |
1 teaspoon | salt |
6 oz | butter, ( cold and cut into small chunks) |
1 1/3 cups | milk |
Handful of raisins ( optional)
Put all dry ingredients into Magimix. Process for a few seconds. Add cold butter and process to cut up all the butter into pea sized pieces. Add the raisins if you are using them. Add most of the milk and process. If the mixture doesn't ball up add the rest of the milk. Process only until the mixture forms a ball.
Take out, pat flat until it's about 1.5 inches thick. I usually just cut these into squares but you could also use round biscuit cutters.
Bake on cookie sheets in HOT oven.....about 425 degrees?
Check them in 10 mins.
