Apple Pie, no bake

| 1/4 c | almond meal |
| spray pie pan dust pie pan with almond meal | |
| 2 c | almonds |
| 2 c | dates |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| process in food processor spread in pie pan 2) Syrup: | |
| 1 | orange, peeled & seeded |
| 1/2 c | dates |
| 1/4 c | water |
| blend into a syrup using small blender 3) Filling: | |
| 5-6 | apples peeled & thinly sliced |
| 1 c | raisins |
| dried cranberries, alternative, optional | |
| 2 tsp | ground cinnamon |
mix apples & 1/2 raisins with syrup
pour 1/2 of apples into pie pan
decorate top by fanning the remaining apples
- best if left to sit a few hours prior to serving
- even better refrigerated overnight
