Molasses Sugar Cookies (Grandma)

| 6 oz | butter, melted |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1/4 cup | treacle, (molasses) |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 9 oz | flour |
| 2 tsp | bread soda |
| 1/2 tsp | salt |
| 1/4 tsp | cloves |
| 1/2 tsp | ginger |
| 1 tsp | cinnamon |
Combine melted butter, sugar, molasses, egg and vanilla. Beat well.
Add sieved dry ingredients. Work together with wooden spoon or hands.
Wrap dough in cling film. Cool in fridge at least half an hour.
Cut up into small pieces and form into balls. Roll each in sugar and place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake @ 180C for about 8 minutes. Cookies are done when cracks appear on top.
