RED-HOT HUMMUS | |
1 cup | canned unsalted chickpeas |
3 tablespoons | unhulled raw sesame |
2 tablespoons | lemon |
1/2 | red onion, chopped |
3 tablespoons | tomato paste,, (low/no salt) |
1 pinch | chili powder to taste |
6 Slices | sprouted grain bread |
1 Head | Lettuce |
4 | Plum Tomatoes |
1 package | Mixed Sprouts |
1 package | Broccoli Sprouts |
2 | oranges,, (to squeeze juice) |
2 tablespoons | miso paste |
NOTE: Bread with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, orange squeezed and miso serve as a sandwich (or salad) independently- if using original recipe as a spread, can skip the Miso and
Orange squeeze.
Blend ingredients as blender or food processor until creamy. If necessary, add a small amount of water to assist in blending.
Serves as dip or sandwich spread with lettuce, tomatoes, and sprouts.
