1 can | tomato paste |

spices to taste
Put tomatoes in pot with spices, heat on medium. Add tomatoe paste to thicken. Simmer for 5-10 minutes. This si a basic red sauce--basil goes well in it for pastas; Oregano is more pizza-flavored; Herbs de Provence is very good. Alwyas add some salt and pepper to taste.
