    2 Tbl  butter
    2 tbl  flour
    1/2 tsp  salt
    1 C  milk

Melt butter in fry pan, remove from heat and stir flour (mixed with salt) into butter. When these are combined, gradually add 1 cup milk stirring constantly as you return it to the heat. For a thicker sauce, add less milk and for a thinner sauce add more milk. Add cheese as desired and chicken, ham, or cooked vegetables.
