Cookies, Raisin Filled Oatmeal

| 2 C | oatmeal |
| 2 C | flour |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | baking soda |
| 1 C | brown sugar |
| 1 C. | melted shortening |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 1 C. | chopped raisins |
| 1/2 C | water |
| 1/2 C | sugar |
Mix oatmeal, flour, salt, soda together, set aside. Combine brown sugar, shortening, egg, and vanilla. Mix these two mixtures together, and divide into two parts. Boil raisins in the 1/2 C.water, 1/2 C sugar. Cover bottom or greased pan with layer of dough, press flat. Spread raisin mixture over top. Crumble remaining dough over top. Bake 350 until brown, cool, cut into bars. Do not overbake.
