| 1/2 C | shortening |
| 1/2 C | brown sugar |
| 1/2 C | white sugar |
| 1 | egg |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 3/4 C | flour |
| 1/2 tsp | baking powder |
| 1/8 tsp | salt |
| 1/4 C | chopped nuts |
| 1 C | cornflakes |
| 1 C | oatmeal |
Preheat oven to 375, grease cookie sheets. Cream together shortening and sugars, stir in egg and vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt, add to creamed mixture. Stir in cereals and nuts. Drop by spoonful and press down slightly with fork. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Cool on racks.
