Cookies, Best Sugar Cookies Ever

| 1/2 C | butter |
| 2 C | white sugar |
| 5 C | flour |
| 4 | eggs |
| 1 tsp | salt |
| 1 tsp | vanilla |
| 2 tsp | baking powder |
Sift dry ingredients, except sugar. Beat sugar and butter together. Stir in eggs, then vanilla. Add dry ingredients. Chill at least 1 hour. Roll out 1/4-1/2 inch thick; cut into shapes or roll into balls. Bake at 400 for 6-8 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
