Chicken, Chili Verde (Christina Tarbet)

3 C | cooked chicken, shredded |
1 | onion, chopped |
1 can | green chilis |
3 cans | cream of chicken soup |
1 1/2 cans | water |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | pepper |
1 tsp | cumin, (or 1/2 tsp) |
Cook chicken and then sautee with onion in small amount of butter. Combine rest of ingredients until heated through. Serve over rice or potatoes. You can put chicken in crockpot uncooked, with 1/2 C water and cumin, let cook for 4 hours on high; take out and shred, add other ingredients and heat through.
