Peach compote

Peach Compote 1 jar (500ml) | |
6 | peaches |
1/4 cup | brown sugar |
1/4 cup | water |
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Put the peaches in the water and poach them for a few minutes. Remove them and put them in cold water. Peel them, remove the pits and cut them in small pieces. Put them in a medium pot with the brown sugar and water and cook over medium heat for about 30 minutes until you have almost no liquid left. Let cool and put in a jar in the fridge (or if you are not going to preserve it, put it in a sterilized jar and process it in boiling water for 15 minutes).
