1 1/2 c | shortening |
1/2 c | molasses |
4 c | flour |
2 tsp | cinnamon |
2 tsp | ginger |
2 c | sugar |
2 | eggs |
3/4 tsp | salt |
2 tsp | cloves |
2 tsp | baking soda |
Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add molasses and sifted dry ingredients. Roll into one inch balls. Dip in sugar.
Place on a baking sheet and flatten. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15-18 min. Do not overbake.
