    4 medium  potatoes, peeled
    1 cup  heavy cream or half ad half
    1/2 cup  butter
    1 1/2 TB  flour
      crushed garlic
      salt, to taste
      pepper, to taste
    1-2 cups  grated cheese
      parsley, dried or fresh, chopped

Cut potatoes into thin slices and then cut in half. Beat remaining ingredients, except parsley.

Place potatoes in a greased casserole type dish. Pour mixture over potatoes and bake at 400 covered for 20 minutes. Uncover and continue to bake for another 40 minutes or until starting to brown. Top with grated cheese and bake for 10 minutes until cheese is melted and potatoes are tender. Sprinkle with parsley.
