Chocolate Cake Brownies

2 cups | sugar |
4 | eggs |
2 tsps | vanilla |
1 cup | melted butter |
1 cup | flour |
2/3 cups | cocoa |
1/2 tsp | baking powder |
1/2 tsp | salt |
Frosting: | |
6 TB | butter, melted |
6 TB | Cocoa |
4 TB | warm water |
2 Tsp freeze dried coffee, (Starbucks instant coffee works great, use one packet) Dissolve in the warm water | |
3 cups | powered sugar |
Beat sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add butter, mix well. Combine all dry ingredients. Pour into a greased 13" cake pan. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Cool in pan.
Mix butter, cocoa, water and coffee. Slowly beat in powdered sugar until smooth, adding additional water if needed.
Frost Brownies. Recipe can be cut in half to make an 8" pan.
