Deep-fried Twinkies

Ingredients: 6 twinkies Sticks | |
4 c | vegetable oil |
1 c | flour and flour for dusting |
1 c | milk |
2 T | vinegar |
1 T | oil |
1 t | baking powder |
1/2 t | salt |
Confectioners sugar for top
Procedure:
Insert sticks into twinkies and freeze. Mix milk, vinegar, and oil. In a separate bowl mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Then slowly whisk the wet ingredients into the dry. Heat vegetable oil till a drop of flour "dances" on the top without smoking. Dust twinkies with flour, dip into batter, and fry in heated vegetable oil. As soon as they're done, pull them out and dust with confectioners sugar.
