Beef Tortilla Casserole

1 lb | ground beef |
1/2 cup | onion, chopped |
1/2 cup | water |
4.5 oz | green chiles, chopped |
1 cup | sour cream |
1 cup | cheddar cheese, shredded |
2 pouches | enchilada sauce |
1 pkg | enchilada seasoning |
6 | tortillas |
Heat oven to 350. Brown beef and onion, drain. Stir in both pouches of sauce, seasoning mix, water and chiles; heat until hot. In ungreased 11 x 7 baking dish, spread 1 cup beef mixture. Cut tortillas in half and place 6 halves on top; spread with 1/2 cup sour cream. Top with 1/2 of cheese, 1 cup beef mixture, and 6 tortilla halves. Top with remaining sour cream, remaining beef mixture and remaining cheese. Bake 30 minutes. Serve with sour cream if desired.
