STRAWBERRY SPONGE CAKE

Preheat oven. Grease an line 8" cake tin
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and whisk well.
Sift together flour and salt. Fold into creamed mixture one third at a time. Add suicient milk to make misxture soft enough to drop off spoon.
Spreadmixture into tin and bake 45 mins.
Transfer cake to wire rack to cool
Whick crem until thick. Reserve 8 strwberries. Hull and chop rest. Fold into double cream.
Split sponge and fill. Decorate with reserved strawberries
