2 cups unsifted flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp ginger, 1/4 salt, 2/3 cup sugar, 1/2 cup or 1 stick butter, 2 large eggs, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 cup finely chopped toasted almonds, 2/3 cup finely chopped ginger or 1 tsp ground ginger, 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or vanilla milk chips.

Heat oven to 325, grease or spray and flour baking sheet. In a bowl combine flour, baking powder, ginger and salt. In a different large bowl w electric mixer on medium, beat sugar and butter till light and fluffy then eggs and vanilla. Reduce speed and gradually beat in flour mixture. With spoon, stir in ginger, almonds, chips. Divide dough into three equal parts on floured surface into 10 in long logs. Place on baking sheet and flatten to 3/4 in thickness. Bake 25 min until slightly browned. Then pull out sheet and in sawing motion cut with serrated knife, about 12 each. Drizzlenwith amaretto, place on sides and bake another 15 min. Cool then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
