Cheesy Potatoes

1 (2 lb.) package | frozen hash brown potatoes |
1 cup | diced onion |
1 can (10.5 oz) | cream of chicken soup, undiluted |
1 carton (16 oz.) | sour cream |
8 tablespoons (1 stick) | butter |
1 cup | crushed potato chips |
8 oz | sharp cheddar cheese |
Thaw potatoes for 30 to 40 minutes. In a large bowl, mix potatoes, onions, chicken soup, sour cream, butter, and cheese. Put in baking dish. Sprinkle with potato chips and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour. Yields 10 servings.
