Potato bake

4 lrg potatoes (or enough to fill your dish) | |
500 ml | to 1 lt cream |
Chicken stock powder or cubes | |
Chopped garlic to taste | |
Parmesan powder to taste | |
Salt | |
fresh ground black pepper |
Peel potatoes and slice about 3 mm thick. Place a layer in oven proof dish sprinkled with a little of the stock, cheese and garlic. Place another layer of potatoe, stock, cheese and garlic and so forth until your dish is just below the rim. Season with salt and pepper. Pour over the cream until just about covering the potatoes. Bake at 180 C for about 45 min to 1 hr (until potatoe is soft and tender). Serve warm.
Try adding different flavors like bacon, onion etc
