Butter Pecan Sauce

1/2 c. + 2 Tb. | brown sugar |
2 Tb. | sugar |
4 tsp. | cornstarch |
3/4 c. | whipping cream |
1 Tb. | butter |
1/2 c. | chopped pecans, toasted |
1 qt. | vanilla ice cream |
in a heavy saucepan, combine the sugars and cornstarch. Gradually stir in cream until smooth. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for 2-3 minutes or til slightly thickened. Remove from heat; stir in butter until melted. Add the pecans. Serve warm over ice cream.
