    1/3 c.  butter
    2/3 c.  sugar
    2 tsp.  baking powder
    2   eggs
    1 tsp.  vanilla
    1/3 c.  unsweetened cocoa powder
    1 3/4 c.  flour, divided
    1/2 c.  mini semisweet chocolate chips
    1/4 c.  chopped walnuts
    1 Tb.  water
    1  egg yolk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Beat butter until soft; ad sugar and baking powder. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add cocoa powder and as much flour s you can by mixer. Add the remaining flour by hand. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. Divde dough into 2 equal parts. Shape into 9x2x1" loaves. Place on baking sheet 4" apart. Brush with mixture of water and egg yolk. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 30 minutes. Cut loaves diagonally into thick slices. Lay cut side down and bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Turn over and bake other side for 10-15 minutes until dry. Cool. Store in an airtight container.
