Preparation Time :0:30

Steam cauliflower until tender but firm, about 4 minutes. Saute onion in
butter until light golden, add grated carrot and saute for 1 minute more.
Stir all ingredients together and salt and pepper to taste. Chill for
about 15 minutes and spread on crackers or toasted bread. Or don&apos;t chill
and spread on toast and place under a broiler for 3 or 4 minutes until
golden and cheese bubbles.

Description:  &quot;Steamed cauliflower, sauteed onion, cheese and sour cream
make up
  this tasty sandwich spread.&quot;
Yield:  &quot;1 1/4 Cups&quot;

NOTES : This is particularly good on dark rye bread.

The sunflower seeds are optional, but add a nice texture and flavor if you
have them around. Sauteed mushrooms are another nice addition.
