Bring one cup of sugar and 4 tbsp of water to a boil. Make sure there are no sugar balls and it has turned slightly brown. Keep face away. Take off heat and whisk in 5 tbsp of balsamic...put back on heat if need to dissolve it more. Take off heat and add 1 cup of olive oil in a steady stream and then 2 more tbsp of water. Add 3 minced garlic and one tsp of salt, pepper. Can serve warm or chilled. Great over salad or Brie and other cheeses. |
