Tandoori Shrimp

24 large | shrimp |
1/2 cup | plain yogurt |
1/3 cup | cilantro, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons | fresh mint, finely chopped |
1 tablespoon | fresh ginger, chopped |
2 cloves | garlic, minced |
1 teaspoon | chili powder |
1 teaspoon | turmeric |
1 teaspoon | coriander |
1 teaspoon | garam masala |
salt to taste | |
lemon wedges |
Shell and devein shrimp. Rinse and set aside on paper towels to dry. Combine the other ingredients. Mix well. Add shrimp to mixture and set aside for about 10 minutes. Preheat grill. Thread shrimp onto skewers. Place shrimp on hot grill and immediately brush with marinade. Grill for about 2 to 3 minutes per side or until done. Shrimp is done when the color has completely and evenly changed.
