Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix

4 tablespoons | chili powder |
3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon | paprika |
3 tablespoons | cumin |
1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons | onion powder |
1 teaspoon | garlic powder |
¼ teaspoon | cayenne pepper |
Directions
1. Whisk together all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
2. 2. Over medium heat, brown 1 lb. of ground beef and drain.
3. Add 2 tablespoons of seasoning mix and ¾ cup water to the ground beef.
4. Simmer, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef, and there is not much liquid left.
Store remaining seasoning mix in an airtight container at room temperature.
Yield: Enough to season about 7 lb. of ground meat
