2 lbs. | Ground beef |
11/2 cups | sliced onion |
1cup | sliced celery |
1 clove | garlic |
1/2 | sliced green pepper |
4 cups | tomato juice, (or 1cup tomatoes) |
2 T | chile powder |
2 T | cold water |
2 tsp. | Salt |
1 tsp. | Sugar |
1 tsp. | Worchestershire sauce |
2 cans | kidney beans |
Brown ground beef. Add onion, celery, garlic & green pepper. Cook until tender. Add tomato juice, chile powder which has been mixed with cold water, salt, sugar & Worchestershire sauce. Bring to a boil & simmer - at least 1 hour. Add drained beans & heat.
