Cheater cassoulet

1 Yukon gold potato | |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1/2 tsp | smoked paprika |
2 tsp | extra virgin olive oil |
1 can | navy beans |
2 | chicken legs, ( thigh and drumstick) |
2 | lemons |
4 | garlic cloves |
1/3 c | fresh basil leaves |

Oven at 390. Line bottom of 9 in square baking dish with sliced potato and season with 1/4 tsp salt and smoked paprika. Drizzle with 1 tsp oil. Drain and rinse navy beans and distribute overtopping.
Season chicken on both sides with remaining salt and paprika And place over beans.
Slice 1 lemon into wedges, set aside. Thinly slice the other lemon. Tuck some slices underneath chicken and leave some exposed to brown. Repeat with sliced garlic and basil leaves.
Drizzle remaining 1 tsp olive oil over chicken and season with pepper. Roast for 1-1/12 hrs.or u til chicken is golden brown. Serve with reserved lemon wedges and a inch salad.
