Baked Cheese Grits

6 c. | water |
1 1/2 c. | quick cooking grits, (not instant) |
1 tsp. | salt |
4 c. | grated Longhorn cheddar cheese |
1/3 c. | butter |
1 1/2 tsp. | seasoned salt |
1/4 tsp. | California-style garlic powder |
1/2 tsp. | paprika |
1/2 tsp. | fresh ground pepper |
3 | eggs, beaten |
Bring 6 cups water to boiling, slowly stir in grits and salt. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until thickened. Stir occasionally. Stir in grated cheese, butter and seasonings. Add beaten eggs and stir until well combined. Pour into a 9x13 glass baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2-2 hours.
