Asparagus with Jalapeno Hollandaise Sauce

1 1/2 lbs. | fresh asparagus, (or two 10 oz. pkg. frozen asparagus spears) |
1 pkg. | hollandaise sauce mix, (such as Knorr) |
2 Tb. | grated Parmesan cheese |
1 Tb. | seeded and diced jalapeno pepper |
2 tsp. | diced pimiento |
Garnishes: | fresh cilantro sprigs, lemon slices, red jalapeno pepper fan |
Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Arrange asparagus in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5-6 minutes or until crisp-tender. Arrange asparagus on a serving plate, and keep warm. Prepare hollandaise sauce mix according to pkg. directions; stir in Parmesan cheese, diced jalapeno pepper, and pimiento. Serve over asparagus.
