Hot Fudge Sauce

    1/3 cup  butter
    4 squares (4 oz)  unsweetened chocolate
    2/3 cup  boiling water
    2 cups  granulated sugar
    1/4 cup  corn syrup
    1/8 teaspoon  salt
    2 teaspoon  vanilla extract

In a 2 quart saucepan place butter and chocolate. Over them pour the
boiling water. Cook on medium heat until the chocolate and butter are
melted, stirring constantly. Add the sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring
to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower heat and simmer for 8 minutes,
without stirring, until it starts to thicken. Remove from heat and add

This makes 2 1/4 cups of chocolate sauce. I found that when cold
this has really thickened, so I could put some on the bottom of the cream
puff as I stacked them and they stayed put. Chocolate sauce when warm
can be poured over the cream puffs.
