MERRY SUGAR COOKIES

Merry Sugar Cookies | |
2 3/4 cups | flour |
1 tsp | baking soda |
1/2 tsp | baking powder |
1/4 tsp | salt |
1 cup (2 sticks ) | butter, softened |
1 1/2 cups | sugar |
1 | egg |
1 tsp | vanilla extract |
1 (10-ounce) bag | semisweet chocolate chips, merry morsels |
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually stir in flour mixture. Batter will be stiff. Stir in 1 cup chips. Roll dough into balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Gently press 3-4 of the remaining chips on top of each cookie.
Bake 8-10 minutes or until cookies are puffed and slightly golden at the edges.
