Strawberry Shortcake (Sam Rhoades)

| 1 1/2 cups | flour |
| 1/4 t | salt |
| 2 t | Baking Powder |
| 2/3 C | sugar |
| 1/4 C | oil |
| 1 | egg,, (beaten) |
| 1/2 C | milk |
| 1/2 t | vanilla |
Sift dry ingredients; add oil; add egg mixed with milk and vanilla.
Beat by hand with wooden spoon for one minute.
Spread in 8 x 8 pan.
Bake 25 - 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
