Honey Balsamic vinaigrette

Ingredients: | |
2 teaspoons | fresh crushed garlic |
1 tablespoon | honey |
¼ teaspoon | kosher salt |
A few turns of fresh ground black pepper | |
4 tablespoons | balsamic vinegar, (you don’t have to use the expensive kind for this) |
½ cup | cold-pressed olive oil |
1 tablespoon | minced fresh basil, (or parsley if basil is out of season) |
Cooking instructions
Perfect on mesclun mix and mixed salads. Also good as a dipping sauce for vegetables. Children tend to love this sweet-tangy dressing.
Whisk the garlic, honey, salt, pepper, and vinegar together. Slowly dribble the oil, whisking as you pour. Add the basil and taste. Add more salt and pepper if needed.
Yields about 12 ounces
