Ice Cream Dessert

    2 cups  flour
    1/2 cup  brown sugar
    1/2 cup  oatmeal
    2 cups  pecans, chopped
    2 sticks  butter, not margarine
    1 box  vanilla ice cream
    1jar  caramel ice cream topping

Mix all ingredients except pecans, ice cream and caramel. When blended add pecans. Place in flat pan, (cookie sheet). Bake at 300 for 40 minutes stirring half way (20 mins.). Let cool. Layer half mixture for crust. Top with thick layer of vanilla ice cream. Pour jar of caramel over ice cream. Freeze, serve with whipped cream and cherry.
