Brownies with Icing

1/2 cup | margarine |
1 cup | sugar |
1 tsp | vanilla |
2 | eggs |
1/2 cup | flour |
1/3 cup | cocoa |
1/4 tsp | baking powder |
1/4 tsp | salt |
1/2 cup | chopped nuts, optional |
3 TBSP | butter, softened |
3 TBSP | cocoa |
1 TBSP | corn syrup, white |
1/2 tsp | vanilla |
1 cup | powdered sugar |
1 TBSP | milk |
Heat oven to 350. Grease 9" square baking dish. In medium bowl stir together butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, beat well. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture; beat until well blended. Stir in nuts. Spread into pan and bake 20-25 minutes or until they start to pull away from the pan.
For icing;
Beat butter, cocoa, corn syrup and vanilla until well blended; add powdered sugar and milk. Beat until smooth and spreading consistency.
