| 1/2 cup | Shortening |
| 1 1/2 cups | Sugar |
| 1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1/2 teaspoon | Almond extract |
| 1 | Egg white |
| 2 1/2 cups | Flour |
| 2 1/2 teaspoon | Baking powder |
| 1/2 teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 cup | Milk |
| 3 | Egg whites stiffly beaten |
Instructions
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add next 3 ingredients, beating until fluffy.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Fold in beaten egg whites.
Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes
