| 1/2 c. | sugar |
| 1/2 c. | Crisco |
| 1 | egg |
| 1/2 c. | buttermilk |
| 1/2 tsp. | soda |
| 1/4 tsp. | cream of tartar |
| 2 c. | flour |
Directions
1. Cream sugar and Crisco.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Roll out on large cookie sheet.
4. Mark in 1/2" squares.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Watch carefully, do not let brown. Cool and cut into squares.
