1 1/3 c | all purpose flour |
1/4 t | salt |
5 T | COLD butter, cut up |
3 T | trans fat free veg shortening |
3-5 T | ice water |
In a food processor with knife blade blend flour and salt. Add butter and shortening, pulse until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle ice water,1T at a time pulsing after each addition until large, moist crumbs just begin to form. Pat dough into a disc, wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before use.
