Chicken Tandoori

Ingredients: | |
16 oz | plain yoghurt |
1/4 cup | lime juice |
2 cloves | garlic, finely chopped |
2 tsp | salt |
1/4 tsp | turmeric |
1/2 tsp | coriander |
1 tsp | ground cumin |
1 1/2 tsp | ground ginger |
1/8 tsp | cayenne |
3 | whole chicken breasts, split |
1 | onion finely chopped |
1 | green pepper, finely chopped |
Method:
1.In a large bowl, combine yoghurt, coriander, lime juice, cumin, garlic, Ginger, salt, cayenne and turmeric.
2.Stir to mix, then add chicken pieces and toss to coat.
3.Cover mixture and chicken with peppers and onions, then cover and chill overnight or longer.
4.Prepare hot coals or preheat oven broiler for 10 minutes.
5.Turn and cook until done, approximately 15-20 minutes.
6.Baste with marinade throughout cooking.
