Slow Cook Beef Stew

2 lbs | beef stew meat |
1 | bay leaf |
1 tbs | worcestershire sauce |
4 cups | beef broth |
1/4 tsp | pepper |
1/2 tsp | salt |
1 tsp | sugar |
5 | carrots |
2 | celery stalks |
4 potatoes peeled and cut into 8ths | |
1/4 cup | cornstarch |
1/4 cup | water |
In slow cooker add beef, bay leaf, worcestershire sauce, 1 cup broth, pepper, salt, sugar, carrots, celery & potatoes.
Pour remaining broth over beef & veg's
Cover and cook on low 8-10 hrs
With 1hr remaining, remove 1/4 cup of broth and mix with 1/4 cup cornstarch.
Mix well cornstarch and broth and add back to slow cooker.
