Apple Pie

40 oz | butter |
50 oz | castor sugar |
1 medium | egg |
60 oz | flour |
1 tsp | baking powder |
250 gms (sliced) apples | |
1 cup | water |
Method:
1.Cream butter and 3 oz sugar with a spoon.
2.Add egg in it and beat well.
3.Gradually add flour and baking powder and knead well to form a smooth dough.
4.Keep the dough aside and prepare candied apples by cooking apple, remaining sugar and water until water dries.
5.Divide the dough into 2 portions and roll both the portions separately into equal rounds.
6.Line one portion in a pie dish and spread apple filling on it.
7.Cover with the other portion and brush egg if desired.
8.Bake in moderate oven for about 1 hour and serve hot.
